Pretty much agreed on the points made prior. In this situation, you're looking at a print article repurposed for the web. I'd be curious to see this coming from a web-based publication.

Both have been built to accommodate illustration and/or photography alongside articles.
With regards to the Heads of State illustrations, it's true that they work better in print. But I would also suggest that that's because they are somewhat nostalgic illustrations that reference more vintage americana-style typography and printing methods. They are illustrated FOR print. We need not only a method of accommodating illustration online, but a different type of illustration – one that is designed for online viewing.]]>
