Comments on: Why am I seeing a wifi signal every time I walk by a Starbucks? http://designnotes.info/?p=1900 Testing & Sprinting Mon, 20 Feb 2017 09:49:00 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.7.7 By: Drew http://designnotes.info/?p=1900&cpage=1#comment-100050 Tue, 22 Sep 2009 13:43:58 +0000 http://designnotes.info/?p=1900#comment-100050 I've had the same issue here in the UK, although not with Starbucks. Either an 'Openzone' network which expects me to log in or some strange 'free' wi-fi which never connects – and I have to keep switching off my Wi-Fi to actually get something done on 3G (which isn't fast, but that's another story…)

I wish there was a way to quickly turn it on and off… Kinda like the wi-fi on the kindle. :/

I'm wondering if you are able to do this: go to settings/wifi/ next time you're in the area, and click the blue arrow next to the starbucks network, then click “forget this network”
