It doesn’t help that most of my clients are in a giant panic for their logo/brochure/display. How can the magic happen when you’re forced to work with wacky deadlines?

Something along the lines that most people give up just before their last hurdle, and you don’t want to do that etc…

and thanks for stopping by Debbie

More and more the point is driven home that this is a JOB. The discussion came up the other day about whether it was worth it for a small single-person freelance design ‘studio’ (such as mine, but not mine) to go after really big clients. I say go for it. If you know you can cobble together a team in a pinch, why not go for the big clients/projects/money.

The one overwhelming piece of advice that came out of the HOW Conference for me was to let go and let people in; the idea being that if you can let go of your grip on your work and allow other people to contribute to it and influence it, it will go further, say more and have the potential to be profound.

Another big message was: Don’t give up five minutes before the magic happens.
