It definitely doesn’t circulate cooler air but I don’t think it’s doing more damage then if you had just left it on a desk.

By: timichango http://designnotes.info/?p=987&cpage=1#comment-9023 Fri, 13 Apr 2007 01:06:15 +0000 http://designnotes.info/?p=987#comment-9023 Looks nice, but unfortunately this would seem to the inverse of the fringe benefit that most laptop stands provide: that of allowing air to fllow underneath the laptop, and facilitating cooling, thereby extending component life, reducing energy usage, and generally being nicer for the machine and user. This, by contrast, looks like a helluva good insulator for the bottom of the laptop… I bet you could fry an egg on that thing after working on it with a macbook pro for a few hours.
