Daylife Redesign Part One

Daylife: A New Way to Explore the World

For the last couple of months I’ve been busy at Daylife as the Design Director. I haven’t really said much here on DesignNotes about what that has entailed until now. Late last night a new version of was released. It is by no means a complete redesign and there’s a lot more releases of new design happening in the upcoming weeks and months. I’ll have a more detailed post about the design of the site and what has evolved written sometime over the weekend. But for now I’d encourage you to check out the site at and let me know what works and doesn’t work well for you.

    Hey Michael,

My first impression was a sense of visual calmness. The balance and proportions of images/text/white space create a simplistic functional layout that is highly executed and much more sophistcated than other news feed sites. One problem I encountered was that when trying to navigate from catergory to catergory Safari unexpectedly quit on me? This might be my computer, however thought it was worth a mention 🙂

Over than that, daylife is quite a breath of fresh air! I’m looking forward to seeing the other up coming changes.

    Well done.
