Space Design

design by johnson banks

Over Johnson Banks thought of the week at http://tinyurl.com/6ajxkd they’re talk about a two year long project for the Sendai Astronomical Observatory (pictured above). The simple and elegant concept focuses on “bringing the cosmos down to earth”. By merging both common everyday images with more galactical images it fits nicely together as opposed to being forced together. The visuals also work with minimal text.

If space interests you, you might also want to check out the amazing detailed images from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope pictured above. Over 800,000 frames were stitched together to create the entire image. Read and see more at NASA’s website at http://tinyurl.com/5vcctb
