Explore, it’s a Friday to buy some new muzak

Treat yourself, it’s been a busy week. Go out and buy some muzak. Amos Lee’s album Roots and Elvis Costello’s North have been two of my favs for a while. Ok, I’ve only been listening to them for the last three weeks. But if you don’t know what to get, maybe try those two.

    I just (within the last 30 minutes) finished reading this excellent New Yorker article about Muzak – it’s a pretty good piece about business, history, and a certain flavor of experience design. Anyway, one of the concluding points is the negative equity of the Muzak brand name, so it’s funny to then come across you using the word generically, and positively. Good and bad news for the company, I guess.
