a Wednesday night in NYC

a Wednesday night in NYC

When the hours start building up and the progress isn’t as much as one would like, it’s not difficult to wonder why. Though when the walk home gives a person a view like this on a misty night, is there anywhere else one would want to be? Of course not, and when one does have the chance to catch their breath they’re usually surprised at how much they’ve actually done in a short period of time.

    Been busy myself.

Always nice to grab a powerful view to remind one’s self of something big and wonderful.

    Okay, explain this…

How am I supposed to pack light for a trip to NYC when your weather oscillates between freezing and 15 degree celcius short sleeves spring-like conditions?

    thanks Chris.

Christina – don’t worry, it’s a warm cold. At least that’s what I told people today.

Lovely photo – like the building is on fire.
It is so easy to fall in and out of love with NY and it is the kind of love that makes you think of a first love – those moments of uncontrollable unconditional love that surprise you again and again.
And then you wake up the next morning and despise it until another one of those moments come along.

For me, it happened (that feeling of absolute love) recently when I was walking through the diamond district. Although it was slap to my senses and all these Orthodox men in suits kept bothering me, begging me to come in to their store, handing me their cards, I was really in love with NY at that moment b/c it is so desperate and urgent and unique in that specific quality of desperation that only a city this large and diverse and promising (and crushing) can be.

You’ll have so many moments like this!
